READI-CAT (barium sulfate) oral suspension is indicated for use in computed tomography (CT) of the abdomen to delineate the gastrointestinal (GI) tract in adult and pediatric patients. Its pleasant orange flavor makes it easy for patients to tolerate. READI-CAT works by coating the inside of your esophagus, stomach, or intestines which allows them to be seen more clearly on a CT scan or other radiologic (x-ray) examination.
